Frequently Asked Questions
What do you mean that you provide "unlimited hours? Just as its states....we do one wedding a day and we are there for as long as we need to be there. Typically, your reception start and finish times are driven by your venue, As such, we don't feel as though we need to have a "4 hour, 5 hour or 6 hour package." We sort out start and end times during our planning meeting and don't even end up on our contract. We don't believe in the old "nickel and dime" routine of charging for every little minute of time,. So have fun with your wedding day, We sure will!
Will you play requests? Yes, we do take requests and may play some of them. We may “filter” requests, meaning we will not play a song that you specifically asked us not to play or music from a genre you asked us not to play. We will not play songs off of Youtube when asked. If someone makes a request that fits in well with what are playing at the time and with the music the client wants, then the we may play the request. We have an online planning system that will allow you to make request lists prior to your wedding date which allows us to plan appropriately.
How much is the deposit? $200 is our standard deposit for all weddings
How many songs can we request? You can select songs that you would like to hear at your event (as well as songs you don’t want to hear) through our online planning system. The number of songs you request is totally up to you! We recommend giving us at least 10-15 songs of different genres and artists that you would like to hear. A few songs/artists that you don’t want to hear is always helpful as well. If you end up requesting a lot of songs, just keep in mind the time constraints of your event. During your planning meeting, we will ask you about your music preferences.
When should we book? As soon as you are confident in hiring us. We are a small operation, with the owner also being the DJ. Our services are in high demand and we start booking a year and half out for certain dates. Once you request information from us, we will let you know instantly whether we have you date available. We always tell potential clients to send us an online inquiry or give us a call...you never know until you ask!
Should we feed the DJ/staff? Typically, the catering director or event coordinator will set aside a meal or boxed dinner for our staff if requested by the client and its very customary in our area. If you have any questions regarding food, never hesitate to ask us.
Do we tip the DJ? That is entirely up to you. It is not expected nor is a gratuity included in the contract. If you feel like we did a great job, a great review is always welcomed as well!
